Obituaries policy The Spokesman-Review publishes news of the deaths of people who have been active residents of the newspaper's primary circulation area for a substantial period. Due to space constraints, the newspaper generally is able to use an obituary only if the deceased had lived in the area at least 10 years. Obituaries of former residents may be published if the person left the area relatively recently. The amount of information in an obituary may be affected by space limitations.
